Welcome to my music page

I am a self-taught songwriter and keyboardist living in Sydney Australia. I believe my songs and compositions are pretty good. I have absorbed a wide range of influences but most of what I write is rooted in the 60's. I like latin, afro-cuban jazz, and have learned to love a lot of the great songwriters - particularly Cole Porter, Jimmy Van Heusen, and Jobim. The songs here were recorded at John Morrison studios a few years ago, the other items are sequenced using Logic Express.

Player

A confident and inventive piano soloist with a good repertoire of standards. Has studied arranging, improvisation, and piano trio performance at the NSW Conservatorium of Music.

Writer

I write in a range of styles - jazz songs, ballads, latin, swing and many other styles. If you take a little time to listen to my songs on left, I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised.

About My Originals

The originals on left are just a sample of the many songs and instrumentals I have composed over a the years.

The Reason Why - regularly performed by Kerrie Biddell and her excellent band Compared to What at the Basement in Sydney. It is sung here by Elizabeth Geyer.

Without You - also sung by Liz, this is a 40's-style piece, a song of love and longing, played over a bossa style.

Midnight til Dawn - A recent lounge-style piece for vibes and Fender Rhodes.

Casa Lobos - a percussive Salsa piece.

Melissima - Another salsa piece for flute/piano/percusssion.

Living on the Edge of a Dream - a guitar ballad, played here by Oskar Mezgalis.
